Rent Your Busy Office For Show
When people start out in business they want more established firms to take them seriously. While working from home is great, for the newbie just starting out it’s not going to give them the confidence boost that potential big contract clients will want if they want to come to visit the office. ...[More]
War Zone Tours
The recent news about the unrest in Kenya made me wonder if adrenaline junkies wouldn’t be interested in war zone tours. These tours could have a security guard but take people to see the action in countries that are in a state of flux.Apparently the knock on effect of the Kenya crisis is that it has sent the economy into a tailspin with a massive loss of tourism dollars.Tourism is Kenya’s biggest foreign currency earner, bringing in an estimated bn (£500m) per year - more than horticulture and tea exports combined. It has also been one of the economy’s most spectacular performers, with visitor numbers doubling over the past three years. Our tourism has been affected by the recent post-election crisis and chaos, and analysts warn it could take years to recover.Tourists have stopped coming to Kenya. We have had over 85% cancellations. That means at least a million indirect and direct job losses are imminent .The entire economy is staring at a recession, and this after growing at a blistering 7% last year. And it is not just Kenya that is suffering as a result. No fewer than five neighbouring states channel their exports and imports through the Kenyan port of Mombasa on the Indian Ocean. The World Bank says a quarter of the gross domestic product of Uganda and Rwanda and a third of Burundi’s pass through Kenya, including essential commodities.South Sudan, the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and northern Tanzania also lean heavily on Kenya both for trans-shipments and imports of essentials such as maize. Please donate business ideas to HELP KENYA.This idea was donated by Peter Ongera ...[More]
Scooter Repair Franchise
In a reverse example of technology transfer I suggest that someone start a chain (possibly a franchise) of scooter repair businesses in developed countries. Countries where scooter are already ubiquitous could also offer opportunities for chaining outlets and building equity. These countries, however, already have many repair facilities sprinkled around the urban areas. In the US, however, there are none (or few) and the use of scooters is growing and will continue to grow. An independent chain of outlets, and naturally a chain would take time starting with one or two outlets, would offer healthy competition to dealer who sell the scooters. This idea was submitted by Bill Keep. ...[More]

Flower Exporting From Ethiopia
Ethiopia expects to earn more than $125 million US dollars from flower export this year, which is a five-fold increase on last year’s figure, but the concerning issue is the availability of trained human resource in the sector and you make so much money if you have the skills to help the growers. ...[More]
Dating Service for Convicts
My idea is to start an on-line dating service to help women get in contact with convicts. As you know, many women are, for whatever reason, attracted to convicts. Let the convicts advertise for free, and the women have to pay. ...[More]
