Medical Oddity Art
Bear with me on this one. I saw this guy that molds stuff and places it in a wire bail canning jar.
The little sculptures look like some alien life form and then he then puts it in a diluted coke liquid. The coke is just to make the water darker so it is harder to see the sculpture inside the jar.
Brilliant idea and a great novelty item to sell at markets and fairs. People will be intrigued by what the thing in the jar really is since they can kind of see it through the liquid and then the shape inside looks so alien that they wind up seeing more with their imagination they really can visualize. That just makes it all the more interesting.
The Thing in The Jar pieces should look as much like science specimens as possible. They will make great oddity presents and I can see them sitting in dorm rooms and offices all of the world. People will come into the room and gravitate towards this odd looking Thing in the Jar and ask, “What the hell is this?�
This idea should be a good one for a home-based crafts person or someone that wants to add a new oddity product to their fair or market merchandise.
