Travel Directions via SMS
Not everyone is lucky enough to have access to satellite navigation in their cars or in their pocket. We all go to places we don’t know and on many occasions we all get lost. I’m sure we’ve all stopped at the side of the road or lost walking to a destination to ask passers by Where are we? Where’s the nearest? How do I find?
We look at maps not really knowing or understanding which route we should be taking but by using current SMS mobile phone technology there might be a solution.
An idea would be able to send an SMS message asking how do I get from place A to place B. All you’d need is a road and location of where you are and your required destination. An SMS could then be sent back to your phone advising you of the correct route and incorporate routing based on current traffic conditions. All this could be done for the price of the operators SMS message and a small charge.
