Online Student Collaboration Suite

Students these days in the technical field aren’t just sitting in class listening to lectures and making notes. They’re working on projects. With free time as important as it is for any student, it’s only natural that they won’t be spending that much time in the library doing research and working together. They work from home.

But, this is an invitation to disaster. Using IM clients to talk to each other, styles in documentation are different, people aren’t clear on what they are supposed to be doing.

A good idea would be a website that took ideas from web applications such as Basecamp, Google Documents, Campfire and Stikkit and combined into one cohesive suite. For students, not business.

Allows us to work on documents collaboratively with a chat pane. Let us divide tasks and set deadlines. With one centralized calendar/storage center, accountability is easy.

Idea donated by @FSFunky.

We use Wrike http://www.wrike.com/ for group projects. Here we can collaborate, share files and plan our work. It’s a great platform and all of us use free accounts.
