Surprisingly we can learn quite a bit from our little toddlers at home and use it effectively in business. Toddlers require the exact same needs such as food, clothing, amusements, etc that us adults need, they just can’t usually speak well enough to let us know that’s what they need. Consider some of these points from a toddlers point of view and incorporate them in your business, you may find they work rather well on adults as well.

• Don’t be afraid to repeat yourself. Most adults with children are anxious, sleep deprived, busy, and slightly irritable, don’t repeat yourself at a toddler level, but make sure you convey your message enough that it is understood.
• urprise and delight your customer. As toddlers, they are always surprising and delighting us, we need to do the same with our customers, even adults like to feel delighted and surprised once in a while.
• Use their language. Toddlers have a way of repeating EXACTLY what adults say, sometimes this is not a good thing, but it get’s our attention for sure.
  

  One of the less-known uses of surveys and testimonials is to find the language of your customers. Look through everything your customers send you for wording you can mirror back to them. Artful, “writerly” language isn’t nearly as important as using the words and phrases that your customers do themselves.
