Discount Market for Outdoor Advertising
As I travel across the United States there are a lot of billboards that are empty without advertisements. These billboards or outdoor advertising as people also call it belong to a number of different companies, some big and some small.
With an abundance or glut of billboard the outdoor advertising market must be in need of clients. It would be possible to contact these outdoor advertising companies and see if you could market their available space for a deeply discounted price. If you are doing it under your company name then the original big name outdoor companies like Lamar and CBS won’t have to show discounted rates on their books.
But every day that a outdoor advertising venue goes unsold is revenue lost for the original company. With so much billboard inventory available it would be a good idea to start asking for discounted rates as low as 75% off list price, or even more.
You would not need to pay for this outdoor advertising in advance since you would just be reselling their unsold space. When you receive an order you would confirm the order with the original company that owns the billboard.
There are a number of possibilities on these billboards. You might be able to split a large billboard between two companies, each get a half. This would give you access to smaller companies that have not considered outdoor advertising before.
Besides the typical billboards for food, gas car sales, Harley Davidson dealers, and lodging. There are also ads for churches like the Silverado Cowboy Church, bankruptcy, credit repair, legal services, loans, crafts, museums, local attractions, etc.
